My admiration for one of the best WWII heroes, besides my father, spans from his quotes to his bravery, wisdom, and choice of birthplace. His sentences make me smile. Not always a laughter smile, but a hopeful smile, as in, “Yes please” thoughts.
Quote collecting is a hobby within my Writing World. If you’ve read any of my books (THANK YOU!) …you might remember that each chapter begins with a quote. These often and should match the plot. I do believe in stretching my readers’ imaginations.
“When life gets too hard to stand, kneel.” This is a T-shirt quote. I also collect annoynomous statements from sales catalogues, although I don’t like wearing clothing that can be read. Some are quite useful: “You can’t scare me…I have a daughter.”
However, when I need to upgrade my standards I return to Mr. Churchill, Eleanor Roosevelt, or Mark Twain. “The human race has one really effective weapon, and that is laughter.” So, smile. …Enough!
